The MJCC Volunteered at the 2019 Tingle Wood Festival! They helped with the kids area, counting attendance, and more!

Moonlight Movies
|
The MJCC held the first ever Moonlight Movies on June 15th, 2019. The movie was held in Owl's Cove Park and was enjoyed by many community members. The movie was free and fun for all of Montevallo.

Just Show Up Show 2019
MJCC members volunteered at the 2019 Just Show Up Show. They helped pass out bracelets that promoted the 2019 Tinglewood Festival. A few members even got to meet the stars!
Arts Fest 2019

MJCC members volunteered at the 2019 Arts Fest. They helped in lots of ways including face painting, artist hospitality, etc. They worked at different times throughout the whole event and had a lot of fun.

City Volunteering
Color Run

In 2019, the MJCC hosted a color run at Love Montevallo Day. With help from the University of Montevallo the color run had many participants and was very successful.
Field day for Montevallo Middle School Baseball

In 2013, the MJCC held a city wide field day at Orr Park to raise money to purchase new baseball helmets for the Montevallo Middle School baseball team.
Montevallo Arts and Recreation Center

From 2015 to 2016 the MJCC ran a teen center for middle and high schoolers. MARC was open after school and featured various amenities including snacks, study rooms, drum circles, CPR training, etc. The teen center was run by the students for the students.
Youth Mayoral Debate
Refresh Cards / Student I.D.'s
In 2017, the MJCC created a refresh card. The refresh card allowed high school students in Montevallo to receive discounts from 3-5 at local businesses. Below is a video from the 2017 Montevallo High School Spotlight when the refresh cards were first introduced. In 2018, the MJCC brought back the refresh card in the form of studen I.D.s. The MJCC worked with Montevallo High School and local businesses to use the new student I.D.s in place of the refresh card.
